1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how PT Sarana Infotekno Mitra Solusi ("we," "us," or "our"), a company based in Indonesia, handles information in connection with the Masjid Media TV mobile application ("the App").
The App is a kiosk-mode display application designed to show mosque-related information — such as prayer times, event schedules, announcements, and media content — on televisions, tablets, and other large-screen devices. The App is not intended for direct personal use and does not require user accounts or personal data input.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how the App operates. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
The App is a display-only kiosk application. It does not:
- Require user registration or login with personal credentials
- Collect personal information such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, or physical addresses
- Access the device's camera, microphone, contacts, or file storage
- Collect or track location data (GPS, network-based, or otherwise)
- Use cookies or similar tracking technologies for advertising purposes
- Display third-party advertisements
- Allow user-generated content or input
3. Information That Is Processed
While the App does not collect personal data from end users, it does process certain technical data to function properly:
3.1 Anonymous Authentication (Supabase)
The App uses Supabase anonymous sign-in to establish a secure session with our backend server. This process generates:
- A randomly generated anonymous user identifier (UUID)
- A session token
This anonymous identifier contains no personally identifiable information and is used solely to authenticate the device's connection to our database for fetching mosque configuration data (prayer times, events, media content, etc.). The anonymous identifier cannot be traced back to any individual person.
3.2 Device Pairing Information
When the App is set up on a display device, it generates:
- A device UUID for identifying the specific display device within the mosque's configuration
- A pairing code to link the device with a mosque's account
This information is stored locally on the device and transmitted to our Supabase backend. It is used exclusively for delivering the correct mosque content to the correct device.
3.3 Firebase Analytics
The App includes Google Firebase Analytics, which may automatically collect certain usage and technical data, including but not limited to:
- App opens and session duration
- Device model, operating system version, and screen resolution
- App version
- Crash and error reports
- Country/region (derived from IP address, not precise location)
This data is collected in aggregate form and is used to understand general usage patterns and improve app stability. It does not identify individual users. Firebase Analytics is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
3.4 Firebase Remote Config
The App uses Firebase Remote Config to retrieve application configuration values (such as UI layout parameters) from Google's servers. This service may process:
- An anonymized app-instance identifier
- Basic device metadata for delivering the appropriate configuration
No personal data is collected through this service.
3.5 Local Storage (SharedPreferences)
The App stores minimal configuration data locally on the device using SharedPreferences, including:
- User interface theme preference
- Language/locale setting
- Cached pairing information
This data remains on the device and is never transmitted to any external server.
4. How We Use the Information
The limited technical data described above is used exclusively to:
- Authenticate the device's connection to the mosque data backend
- Deliver the correct mosque content (prayer times, events, media) to the paired device
- Maintain app functionality and stability
- Improve app performance and user experience
We do not use any data for:
- Advertising or marketing
- User profiling or behavioral tracking
- Sale or rental to third parties
- Any purpose unrelated to the core functionality of the App
5. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

6. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the data processed by the App, including:
- All network communications are encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
- Supabase access is restricted using Row Level Security (RLS) policies and API key scoping
- Anonymous authentication tokens are securely managed by the Supabase SDK
- The App operates in immersive kiosk mode, limiting interaction with the underlying operating system
While we strive to protect the information processed by the App, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
- Anonymous authentication tokens are retained by Supabase for the duration of the device's active session. Inactive sessions may be automatically cleaned up per Supabase's retention policies.
- Device pairing data is retained in our database for as long as the device is actively paired with a mosque. Unpaired or deactivated devices may have their data removed.
- Firebase Analytics data is retained according to Google's data retention policies.
- Local device data (SharedPreferences) persists until the App is uninstalled or the data is manually cleared.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is a kiosk display application not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). It does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Since the App does not collect personal data from any users, no special provisions for children's data are necessary.
9. Your Rights
Under Indonesian data protection law (Undang-Undang Pelindungan Data Pribadi / UU PDP No. 27 Tahun 2022), you have the right to:
- Request information about what data is processed
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent for data processing
As the App does not collect personal data, these rights are unlikely to be applicable. However, if you have any concerns, please contact us using the information below.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Continued use of the App after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
